Installare Windows 95 in Virtual PC (o Virtual Server)

- Status: 11 (VSS_WS_FAILED_AT_POST_SNAPSHOT)    - Writer Failure code: 0x800423f3 (<Unknown error code>)    - Writer ID:...

Nuovo articolo: Virtual PC 2004 SP1: Creare harddisk virtuali differenziali - Step by Step

Viva Virtual Server 2005!!! To do this - create a PowerPoint slide and go the 'Insert' menu and select 'Object'.  One of the objects should be the Microsoft Virtual Server VMRC Control.  Once you have added this object you should open the properties and change the server and port settings, and anything else you want.  It should be noted that the only way to actually test the configuration is to view the PowerPoint slide in SlideShow mode!!!

Bene, ecco la risposta: At various times it is convenient to be able to identify the host computer from inside of a virtual machine in a programatic fashion (e.g. When you are deploying a virtual machine or running an automated process).  To help in these scenarios both Virtual Server and Virtual PC 2004 SP1 will populate the virtual machines registry with information on the name of the host computer, and the name assigned to the virtual machine under Virtual PC or Virtual Server. This...

Virtual PC 2004 e Virtual Server 2005: New tool for precompacting virtual hard disks

Compacting your dynamically expanding virtual hard disks (VHDs) reduces the amount of disk space they use. Preparing a disk and compacting it is covered in the Virtual Server 2005 Administrator’s Guide, so I won’t go into it here. What’s new is this: you used to have to use a third-party tool to zero out available blank space on the VHD before compacting it. Now you can use a tool that's included with Virtual PC 2004 SP1 -- the Virtual Disk Precompactor. If you...

Virtual PC vs Virtual Server
