70-442 e 70-526 debuttano oggi e domani...

Ormai la serie su SQL 2005 è quasi al completo, e anche i TS su .NET 2.0. Adesso mancano i PRO su .NET 2.0 e gli esami su BizTalk 2006 se non ricordo male... in attesa degli esami su Vista/Longhorn Server Microsoft to release two more next-generation MCP exams for SQL Server experts, Windows developers. Il 442 (l'ultimo esame SQL PRO rilasciato) non l'ho trovato semplicissimo, ma non sono un grande SQLlaro... come dimostra il fallimento del 441... Non so se ho intenzione di ripeterlo in caso di bocciatura, devo capire bene il discorso delle competenze per i corsi MOC, dopotutto sono un po' stufo...

Finalmente anche VUE si è degnata di darci i risultati... e ho passato anche questo! 071-526: TS: Microsoft® .NET Framework 2.0 - Windows®-Based Client Development - pass Bene... ora aspettiamo gli upgrade, ma intanto ho tutte e tre le certificazioni TS su .NET 2.0... a questo punto mi chiedo... Ma non potevano fare degli esami più difficili?

MCT again... qualche considerazione

Come Tiziana anch'io quest'anno ho rinnovato per il sesto anno consecutivo la certificazione MCT. Forse la figura dell'MCT in Italia è un po' sottovalutata, ma posso garantirvi che all'estero la cosa è completamente diversa, forse anche grazie alla community... Devo dire che la community di MCT Europei, Egiziani, Arabi, Asiatici e Americani che ho conosciuto a Barcellona, Amsterdam e Orlando è fatta di persone stupende, piene di vita e di voglia di divertirsi. La maggior parte degli MCT italiani che ho conosciuto (a parte i "soliti noti" che però erano anche ai suddetti eventi... o che fanno parte di altre community a prescindere dal fatto di essere...

Risultati del 71-529 e la "tritaossa"...

Venti giorni fa, vi avevo detto di aver passato il 71-529... Beh... oggi, di rientro dalla "tritaossa" ho trovato la busta di VUE con il risultato... 921... Non ci posso credere... fino ad ora il più alto che ho ottenuto sugli esami del 2.0... che dire... io pensavo di aver preso 701... E il bello è che ho preso il 100% nella "Creating, Configuring and Deploying Remoting Applications", e il 90% in tutte le altre... Per festeggiare martedì vado a fare il bis...

Manipolare i settaggi del BIOS di Virtual Server programmaticamente...

Molto ma molto interessante... soprattutto se volete gestire automaticamente anche le fasi iniziali della VM... Visual Task Tips

Veramente carino... permette di vedere le anteprime delle applicazioni nella task bar... E ha un installer di soli 88kb... http://www.visualtasktips.com/ Ha qualche piccolo problema, e non è compatibile con qualche applicazione. Per maggiori informazioni guardate sul blog. Per il resto è uno spettacolo! Soprattutto quando lo usate per vedere lo stato di avanzamento di un task in background, e lui aggiorna automaticamente la preview in tempo reale! Non ho ancora potuto provare questo tool, ma appena ho visto i post di Raf mi sono detto... questo si sposa alla perfezione con TFS... se solo pensassi di meno e lavorassi di più... Rocky brought my attention to a blog entry by Mitch Denny in which he talks about a tool he created which allows you to upload the threats generated from the Threat Analysis & Modeling tool into Team Foundation Server. Bene! Sono proprio contento... finalmente il supporto a TFS è veramente cross-platform! Congratulations to the folks at Teamprise, a sister company to SourceGear.  They released version 1.0 of their product today.  Teamprise Client Suite includes three cross-platform clients for Microsoft Team Foundation Server:  an Explorer-style app, a command-line client, and an Eclipse plugin. Potevo mancare? Assolutamente no! E se mi vedete in giro... presentatevi e fatevi riconoscere... Io sono un po' rinco in questi giorni, quindi se passo dritto e non vi saluto... fermatemi voi... è l'età... Non voglio sentire nessuno giovedì o venerdì con frasi tipo "ho visto tizio, caio e Lorenzo... e non mi sono presentato perchè non volevo disturbare..." se parlo con "tizio" e "caio"... sicuramente staremo sparando qualche vaccata... e quindi... non disturbate assolutamente, anzi!!! E oggi Webcast su VSTS x Tester... e molto di più!!!

Oggi penultimo appuntamento con i Webcast su VSTS. Il tema di oggi è Visual Studio 2005 Team Edition for Software Testers che a dispetto del nome non è dedicato solo ai tester, ma anche e soprattutto a chi deve sviluppare applicazioni, in particolare quelle distribuite e/o Web. Non fatevi ingannare dal nome, è una delle edizioni di Visual Studio più interessanti... Vi aspetto!!!

TreeDiff per Team Foundation Server...

Un tool molto utile per confrontare due alberature (branch, cartelle, build, etc...) sotto Team Foundation Server Source Control: I often need to answer some seemingly simple questions like: What has changed between these two builds? How do the contents of these two branches deviate? Finalmente... Microsoft rilascerà la "sua" versione di NDoc...

Era abbastanza ridicola come situazione... speriamo bene! Benvenuto nella famigghia... ora non sono più l'ultimo arrivato... Ebbene sì proprio alcuni minuti fa mi è arrivata tramite corriere la conferma, mi hanno premiato MVP per la categoria Windows Server - IIS.Qualcuno ben informato già lo sapeva ma fino all'ultimo non ci credevo e quindi ho preferito tacere. Che dire non ho parole vi ringrazio tutti per il supporto e soprattutto per la compagnia, difficilmente si trovano amici con i quali discutere e <mode vittima=on>da sistemista ve lo posso assicurare torniamo utili solo per risolvere i problemi degli altri :-D<mode vittima=off>Scherzi a parte sto gongolando come un pazzo, un ringraziamento...

Il provider MSSCCI per TFS supporta le check-in policy, ma al momento l'unica policy applicabile è quella sull'obbligatorietà dell'associazione tra check-in e almeno un work-item.
