SEC401 .NET Code Protection and Licensing Deep Dive for Developers - Aidan Hughes

A technical deep dive into code protection for .NET applications. We will demonstrate the use of an advanced protection technique known as Code Transformation that is an irreversible transformation of MSIL into a unique and secure virtual language. The unique compiler for this language, the Secure Virtual Machine (SVM), is embedded into the application to not only protect the code from reverse-engineering but also to enforce and execute the licensing controls placed on the product. We will be demonstrating the protection, licensing and activation of a demonstration application across multiple scenarios during this session. MSDN Premium subscribers (beginning in October, 2007) have access to this capability (the SLP Online Service Basic edition) included with their subscription, and will be able to use this benefit after taking this session.
