Hanno risolto il problema di VPC 2004 SP1 con i Centrino (in particolare i modelli con il chipset Intel 915):

We are aware of this problem - it specifically affects laptops with the
915 Intel chipset. The problem is that this chipset stops the TSC when
it enters C-2 power state.
We have just released a hotfix to PSS that specifically addresses this
issue - and are working with a number of laptop manufacturers to update
their BIOS's to address this issue.
